Research Computing Service area provides the following services:
- High performance computing infrastructure for engineering and IT research applications including dedicated disk storage and graphical workstations for graphical visualisation.
- Manages the provision of engineering and IT computing applications
- Advice and assistance to Faculty of Engineering & IT researchers with using computing resources to perform their research.
- Advice and assistance to Faculty of Engineering & IT researchers in selecting and purchasing computing resources.

New Software - Matlab 2015b
Matlab2015b is now available on the FEIT Linux Cluster and for installation on your windows PC.
The MATLAB TAH License
UTS now has a TAH (Total Academic Head Count) license of MATLAB. This license covers on-campus and home software use for all instructors, staff, and researchers, as well as classroom and lab installations. Students are also covered by the campus-wide license and can install software on their home or laptop computers. For more information click here.

New Software - ANSYS Electromagnetics Suite
ANSYS Electromagnetics Suite (includes Maxwell, HFSS, Q3D Extractor, Designer, & SIwave) is now available on the FEIT Linux Cluster and for installation on your windows PC.
New Toolboxes for Matlab - Aerospace Toolbox and Aerospace Blockset
Aerospace Toolbox and Aerospace Blockset provide reference standards, environmental models, and aerodynamic coefficient importing for performing advanced aerospace analysis to develop and evaluate your designs. It is now available for installation on your windows PC.
New Toolbox for Matlab - Real-Time Windows Target
Real-Time Windows Target provides a real-time engine for executing Simulink models on a Microsoft Windows PC and blocks that connect to a range of I/O boards. It is now available for installation on your windows PC.
New Toolbox for Matlab - HDL Coder
HDL Coder generates portable, synthesizable VHDL and Verilog code from MATLAB functions, Simulink models, and Stateflow charts. The generated HDL code can be used for FPGA programming or ASIC prototyping and design. It is now available for installation on your windows PC.
New Toolboxes for Matlab - Mapping Toolbox and SimHydraulics
The Mapping Toolbox provides tools and utilities for analyzing geographic data and creating map displays. The SimHydraulics product extends Simscape software with tools for modeling and simulating hydraulic power and control systems. Both are now available on the FEIT Linux Cluster and for installation on your windows PC.
New Toolbox for Matlab - Instrument Control Toolbox
The Instrument Control Toolbox lets you communicate with instruments, such as oscilloscopes, function generators, and analytical instruments, directly from MATLAB. It is now available for installation on your windows PC.
New Software - Autodesk Education Master Suite
